Todo inicia en un tren que conecta La Paz con Buenos Aires por los años 30’, Humberto Ríos viaja allí para descubrir los caminos de la Patria Grande. Ese viaje lo llevará a una vida entera dedicada a la militancia audiovisual en el continente, y a la formación de cientos de jóvenes cineastas de Latinoamérica. “El cineasta hará cine como puede, donde puede, como deber, como militancia de la imagen”. Ésta era la frase que motivaba a Humberto Ríos, realizador boliviano-argentino del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano.

Everything starts on a train connecting La Paz with Buenos Aires during the 30’s.
Humberto Ríos travels there to discover the paths of the “Patria Grande” ( Big Homeland). This journey will take a whole life dedicated to audiovisual militancy in the continent and to the academic training of hundreds of young filmmakers of Latin America.
“ The filmmaker will make films as he can, where he can, as a duty, as the militancy of image”. This was the Humberto Ríos chosen sentence .
