Tres generaciones de afrodescendientes luchan por reivindicar a sus ancestros africanos que poblaron el norte de Chile. Ellos buscaran el reconocimiento de un Estado que ha invisibilizado y negado su cultura. Para esto han decidido organizarse y realizar el primer censo afro de la historia de Chile, con el cual exigirán al gobierno de Chile ser incorporados en los futuros censos nacionales como afrochilenos.
The valley of black descendants
In the Azapa Valley (Chile), an oasis in the driest desert in the world, a group of afro-descendants is organizing the first African census in the history of this country, in search of recognition from the State, which has concealed their culture and African features for more than two hundred years.
